Amanda Baity
Director of Operations & Photo Editor
Amanda Causey Baity is currently Prince William Living‘s Director of Operations and Photo Editor. She recently took over the role of Director of Operations & Photo Editor for Brides & Weddings magazine. An Atlanta native, she has 8 years of print & online media experience. In her early work career, she was Controller for a multi-million dollar corporation in Atlanta as she attended college.

While finishing her degrees in Optometry and Astro-Biology she worked as a family service worker for the Department of Health & Human Services Head Start Program. She is currently an officer on the board of directors for the Northern Virginia Veterans Association and Vice President of Give Back Prince William.

Ashleigh Balsamo
Digital Media Coordinator/Graphic Designer
Ashleigh Balsamo is a recent graduate of James Madison University where she studied media arts and design with a concentration in journalism and minored in women's and gender studies. She's passionate about design, writing, feminism, social media, reality TV and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Balsamo has worked on multiple publications throughout her college and post-graduate careers and has won honors and awards from the Virginia Press Association, Society of Professional Journalists and Associated Collegiate Press.

When she's not working as Digital Media Coordinator for both Prince William Living and Brides & Weddings magazines, Balsamo enjoys spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants, finding a good memoir to read or re-watching her favorite TV shows and movies.

Kim Howard

Kim Howard CAE, Prince William Living’s editor in chief, has over 20 years of award-winning experience in association publishing, strategic communications, marketing, social media and management. She has published at least four million words, covering industries and topics that include in-house corporate counsel, multifamily housing; cleaning and restoration; and business credit.

Howard has ghostwritten for business owners, CEOs, board chairs and chief legal officers, including many on the Fortune® list. She has served as the editor-in-chief or publisher of five magazines.

Howard earned a master of science in publications design from the University of Baltimore and a bachelor of science in journalism and public relations from Troy University. She earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from ASAE. This is the highest professional credential in the association industry. Rob Jinks is a photographer and saxophonist who has been passionately involved in the arts for almost all of his life. Rob has many years of professional photography experience including numerous weddings, events, and portraits. Peter Lineberry has a degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina. He has an eye for misspellings and other typographical errors, so when he noticed a few in an early issue of Prince William Living, he was delighted to be given the opportunity to fix them. Designer, photographer, creative coach, artist, teacher, and community volunteer – each of these describes Kathy Strauss. Owner of award winning creative communications studio ImageWerks, Kathy brings over 35 years of design experience working for World Bank and USAID, brings expertise in design, photography, project management and creative solutions for worldwide regions. The camera is an extension of how Kathy sees the world. She looks to connect her imagery to her viewer – showing a right brain person’s view of the world. From that simple blade of grass, to the stark graphic look of a building, to the sparkling eyes of the bride and groom, she captures beauty with her lens. She knows she’s done her job when a person looks at her photographs and they know they’ve “seen a story.” Kathy also shares her artist’s view through her Creative Coaching program. Through interactive exercises, these classes help others to understand the importance of creative vision and perspective. She can tailor Creative Coaching sessions to meet the unique needs of any organization. She also leads a social painting program called “Wine, Nibbles & Scribbles”. She sits on various board of directors, lends her creative hand to the Neabsco Heritage Trail, the Prince William Chamber of Commerce, and is a graduate of Leadership Prince William (class of 2010). Following a 32-year career teaching English, creative writing, human relations, American and world civilization, ESOL, computer skills, guitar and song-writing, long-time Northern Virginia resident Dan Verner has produced novels, blogs, columns, devotionals, articles and the occasional poem. Frank Vaerewijck

Frank Vaerewijck has had a passion for food, almost as long as his passion for the fire service. Frank has served as both a Career Firefighter and a Volunteer throughout his career, and currently is an Engineer with Smithfield Fire in Smithfield, VA. In 2006, Vaerewijck won an Iron Chef-style competition sponsored by a local radio station in Richmond, VA. Frank attended a Culinary Arts Program there in Richmond and is constantly seeking to further his education and experience. He enjoys cooking with others, whether it’s at home, or on the job, and as the Firehouse Foodie, he has been compiling recipes to be included in a cookbook that will give others the opportunity to see their hometown heroes not just as firefighters, but as the firehouse chefs and foodies they truly are.

Helleni Moon is the owner of EIDOS Technologies, Headquartered in Manassas, Virginia. Helleni is a resident of the DMV area: raised in Potomac, Maryland, educated at American University and currently resides in Woodbridge, Virginia.
