Renovation includes new façade, landscaping and signage
Woodbridge, Va. –Capstone Advisors of Carlsbad, Ca. hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning with local government officials, community leaders, the renovation team and shopping center merchants to celebrate the renovation of Dillingham Square.
The renovation of the 235,000-square-foot, Food Lion-anchored center included a façade renovation, new landscaping, asphalt repairs, new signage throughout the center and a new name – Dillingham Square. Designed by Landgarden Landscape Architects, the new landscaping comprises approximately 1,400 new plantings, including crepe myrtles, red maples, Ginko trees, Ink Berry, Hypericum, Smokebush, Itea, Liriope groundcover, Old Gold Juniper and salvia, among others.
“This renovation would not have been possible without the support of our local government and civic leaders,” explained Ira Schwartz of Capstone Advisors. “It was important that our renovation complement the surrounding architecture and the community input we received was instrumental in helping us attain this goal.”
The Rappaport Companies of McLean, Va., provided construction management services for the project, and continues to provide property management and leasing services. The general contractor is Ashland Construction. The architect is Rounds Van Duzer Architects, and the landscape architect is Landgarden Landscape Architects.
