Support the local arts and celebrate the holiday season!

Spend time with loved ones by attending a holiday concert or performance in the W-3 Theatre. Experience the creativity in your community when you bring your friends and family to visit the Workhouse Arts Center. The Workhouse is a nonprofit organization. All purchases of art, tickets to performances and class registrations help support our programs.

  • Friday, November 29, 9am-7pm: Black Friday Holiday Celebration at the Workhouse Arts Center. With approximately 100 artists in 65 studios and nine galleries, you will discover unique gifts at your price point. There will artist demos, workshops and activities for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. Click here for the complete schedule and details.
  • 100 Under 200: 100 Artists exhibiting work priced less than $200
    McGuireWoods Gallery, November 9-January 5
    An unrestrained gallery exhibit by the 100 Artists at the Workhouse exhibiting multiple works-of-art each priced less than $200.  Free flowing and ever changing; the exhibit will have new art on view each week. Visit and bring a work-of-art home the same day – add to your home or find the perfect unique gift everyone will remember at an easy to love price.
  • Winter Wonder Arts Camp! Give the gift of ART!  What’s the use of shopping for holiday gifts when you can create your own?  Give your parents time for holiday shopping and take part in this one-day winter camp to prepare yourself for the chilly season!  Create special holiday cards for your loved ones, create a unique ornament, or collage a frame for a friend or family member!
  • Give the gift of classes! Does someone on your list have an interest in developing their artistic skills?   • Mestey Films Productions Presents: “In Santa, We Believe”
    Saturdays at 1pm, November 30-December 28

  • Arts on the Horizon Presents: Drumming with Dishes: The Holiday Edition
    Various Showtimes: December 3-December 8
    Tickets: $8 Children & Adults

    This gentle, playful adventure takes place in a special kitchen, where two friends cook up joyful music together. From a pasta-box Christmas tree to dreidels spinning on pots and pans, these friends (and their live guitar accompanist) bring many of your favorite holiday songs to life like you’ve never seen before!   • Cabaret Series: Home for the Holidays
    Saturday, December 7 at 8pm & Sunday, December 8 at 1pm
    Tickets: $25, includes planche campagnarde

    Hop into the sleigh and enjoy the ride as we present some of the most memorable songs from the holiday season!   • Santa’s North Pole Family Sing-a-Long
    Sunday, December 15 at 11am & 1pm
    Tickets: $12 Adults, $8 Children under 12

  • In Concert: O, Holy Night
    Friday, December 20 & Saturday, December 21 at 7:30pm
