PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VIRGINIA…The Prince William Board of County Supervisors announced Alan D. Wooten as the new Executive Director of Prince William County Community Services. The announcement comes following a nationwide search and competitive hiring process.
Wooten brings over 25 years of professional experience serving those with mental disabilities. Wooten began his career in managed residential care for children and adults with intellectual and other disabilities. Wooten spent most of his career with the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board, serving as Director of Residential Services; Director of Intellectual Disability Services; and Assistant Deputy Director of Community Living Services.
“Mr. Wooten brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience,” said Bill Tracey, Chairman of the Community Services Board. “He understands the challenges we face here in Northern Virginia, and has a proven track record of meeting the needs of the intellectually disabled in a community like ours.”
“Community Services works with some of the most vulnerable residents in our community,” said Corey A. Stewart, Chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors. “Mr. Wooten’s experience working with a multijurisdictional community services board in Northern Virginia brings confidence that we will be able to continue meeting the needs of these residents.”

I am looking forward to being part of this team and serving the people of the Prince William area.”
Wooten earned a BS of Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University and a MPA from George Mason University. He resides in Fairfax, VA.
