City of Manassas, VA . . . Beginning Monday, March 10 at 7 p.m. the City of Manassas Office of Emergency Management will be offering a training course for new members of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Training is free for residents of the City of Manassas and Prince William County. This is a seven-week course, including one night a week and three Saturdays. All equipment and training materials are provided at no cost to participants.
Becoming a City of Manassas CERT member means participants will be trained in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety; light search and rescue; team organization; and disaster medical operations. CERT is about being ready, people helping people, rescuer safety and doing the greatest good for the largest number of people.
