Potomac Junior Hockey Showcase

Contributed by Potomac Patriots

Some of the best hockey players in the country are about to converge on the Woodbridge, VA area for the 2014 Potomac Showcase. Never before has the Washington, DC area hosted such a major Hockey Showcase. On February 15-17, 2014, 24 Junior-level teams from Maine to Florida will play a total of 46 hockey games at the Prince William Ice Center in Woodbridge. This is where top flight players aspire to be in order to showcase their talents as they look ahead to playing in college and pro hockey.

In addition to the 46 US Premier Hockey League hockey games that will take place during the Showcase, equipment vendors will unveil some of their newest gear, fans can partake in raffles, and someone will even shoot to win a brand new car thanks to Rosner Toyota of Stafford, VA. Games will start Saturday morning at 9:00am and run until late that evening. Sunday’s games will run from 7:00am through the late evening once again, and Monday’s contests will start at 7:00am and end at about 5:00pm. Due to the size and magnitude of this event, both of the Prince William Ice Center’s arenas are reserved for this showcase. For a complete showcase schedule visit www.usphl.com.

We cordially invite you to join us for a great weekend of hockey in the newest, most state-of-the-art skating facility in the Washington, DC area – the Prince William Ice Center, which is located at 5180 Dale Blvd., Woodbridge, VA. Admission to the Showcase is $15 per day or $30 for the entire weekend.

Prince William Ice Center is home to Potomac Patriots Junior Hockey, the Prince William Panthers Youth hockey program, the Potomac Prospects, as well as George Mason University Hockey and Northern Virginia Community College Hockey. In addition to hockey programs, the Center provides both hockey and skating lessons for youth through adults in its Pro Intensity and Ice Stars Skating Programs.
