Reflections at the Center for the Arts-Black History Recognition

Delta Theta Sigma logoLocal Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta hosts Wine and Cheese Reception

January 30, 2014, Prince William, VA–The Prince William County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (PWCAC DST) is partnering with The Center for the Arts of Greater Manassas-Prince William to host a special grand opening wine and cheese reception for the “Reflections” exhibit on Saturday, February 8th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  This special event is free and open to the entire community. The Center for the Arts is located at 9419 Battle Street, Manassas.

The reception will feature a wine tasting hosted by The Opera House Gourmet located in Old Town Manassas; live music provided by saxophonist Carlton Harris; refreshments provided with the assistance of Wal-Mart, BJ’s, Sam’s, Target, Wegmans and Harris Teeter; and door prizes donated by The Winery at Bull Run and Morais Vineyards and Winery.

Beginning in February, as a part of its 30th anniversary programming and to commemorate Black History Month, the Center will exhibit “Reflections,” the works of 20 nationally and internationally recognized African-American artists from the University of Maryland David C. Driskell Arts Center.
