(Prince William County, VA, 03/21/2014)… Chinn Park Regional Library will offer AARP Tax Aide on April 3 and 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., April 6 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and April 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. An IRS certified volunteer will provide free tax help for taxpayers with low and middle income, with special attention to those age 60 and older.
No appointments are necessary, service is provided on a first come, first served basis with preliminary screening to identify those requiring special attention. Advanced reservations will not be available.
What to bring when you come for tax help: Social Security cards or other official documentation for yourself and all dependents; copy of last year’s income tax returns; W-2 forms from each employer; unemployment compensation statements; SSA-1099 form if you were paid Social Security benefits; all 1099 forms (1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-misc, etc.) showing interest and/or dividends as well as documentation showing the original purchase price of your sold assets; 1099R forms if you received a pension or annuity; all forms indicating federal income tax paid; child care provider information (name, employer ID, social security number); receipts or canceled checks if itemizing deductions; social security numbers for all dependents.
