Keep Prince William Beautiful Announces Launch of 2014 Spring Cleanup Campaign

KPWB- Keep Prince William BeautifulPrince William County, Virginia (April 15, 2014) – Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) is hosting its annual Spring Cleanup Campaign, which is part of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup Campaign, from March to June 2014.

KPWB will support local organizations, communities, neighborhoods and homeowner associations by providing supplies and volunteer give-a-ways to encourage cleanups throughout Prince William County. Landfill vouchers (for residential use only) will also be provided, which allows haulers to dump free of cost at the County Landfill.  Cleanups anticipating 30 or more volunteers will have the opportunity for a KPWB on-site host to provide safety training, litter education and cleanup management.

Participation in the Spring Cleanup Campaign is open to all Prince William County residents. Registrations submitted by May 15th, are eligible to receive a Garbage Bag Ring as an early registration gift! (While supplies last) All cleanups will have access to a Community Cleanup Success Kit consisting of flyer templates, a step-by-step planning guide, and more.

This year, the Prince William County Department of Public Works Dumpster Days’ will also be part of the Spring Cleanup Campaign. Cleanups scheduled through KPWB, in conjunction with Dumpster Days, will receive supplies for their cleanup and free use of a County provided dumpster.  Dumpster Days begin in April at county selected locations.

Spring invites us out of the house to enjoy the warm sun, and is most times synonymous with cleaning and renewal.
