This holiday season, the Manassas City Police Department will be actively searching for drunk drivers around the clock. From Dec. 13-31, 2017, in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Manassas City Police Department, along with other local law enforcement agencies, will be participating in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign.

Along with enforcement, the Manassas City Police Department will be promoting awareness of the dangers associated with impaired driving on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Follow these tips to stay safe this holiday season:

  • It’s never okay to drink and drive. Even if you’ve had one alcoholic beverage, plan a sober ride home.
  • Download NHTSA’s SaferRide mobile app in the Google Play or Apple iTune’s store. The app identifies a user’s location and assists them with calling a taxi or a friend for a sober ride home.
  • If you see a drunk driver on the road, contact the Manassas City Police Department at (703) 257-8000.
  • Have a friend who is about to drink and drive? Take the keys away and make arrangements to get your friend home safely.

The Manassas City Police Department wants everyone to make it home safe this holiday season. Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
