NOVA Arts and Cultural District

Provided by Supervisor Ruth Anderson’s Office

In July, the Board of County Supervisors expressed their support for the Town of Occoquan’s participation in the establishment of an Arts and Cultural District.

This new district will allow the area to trademark itself as a regional destination for tourism, business, and leisure activities.

Creating this cross-jurisdictional arts and cultural district will make it the first district in the Commonwealth of Virginia to encompass portions of multiple jurisdictions, in this case both Fairfax and Prince Wililam Counties.

The regions include:

  • Workhouse Arts Center – Fairfax County
  • Town of Occoquan – Prince William County
  • Occoquan Regional Park – Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority
