Isabelle Krieger

Valedictorian, Isabelle Krieger

Isabelle Krieger, valedictorian of Stonewall Jackson High School, was inspired by the enthusiasm of her French teacher to realize that speaking French is more than just learning a language. “Monsieur has altered my perception of the language,” said Krieger. “I began to realize that learning was forming bonds with people halfway across the world, people who could add vitality to my life if only I learn to communicate in their native tongue.” This teacher has inspired Krieger to become a teacher of English as a Second Language.

Stonewall Jackson High School valedictorian Ryan Klein sums up his experiences at Stonewall with the saying, ‘Don’t Judge a Book By Its Cover.’ When he was in middle school, he was one of the only people in his group of friends who chose to attend Stonewall Jackson High School instead of Patriot and that meant that high school was a fresh start for him. “I tried not to judge Stonewall preemptively and made the tough decision to just give it a try,” stated Klein. Shortly after arriving, he started to see what Stonewall had to offer and he took full advantage by joining the lacrosse team, trying out for and being selected for Chamber Orchestra, and joining the Ecology Club, among other things. His pride in graduating from Stonewall is evident. “I believe that my education here has been the best it could possibly be.
