The City of Manassas is making it easier for residents to pay taxes online. Residents can now pay personal property and real estate taxes in one place, by using the new Self Service Portal available through the City’s website. City residents can click on the Pay My Bill icon on the front of the website (manassascity.org), scroll to the tax they wish to pay and follow the prompts. The Treasurer’s Office is available for in person payments Monday through Friday, 8:30 a. m. to 5:00 p. m., but why wait in line?
This is a new software system for the City of Manassas. For the last year and a half, the City has been working to replace the current Enterprise Resource Program, or ERP, to enhance City government functions for our residents. The ability to pay taxes in one place online is part of this system.
In the near future, the ERP will be expanded to allow for payment of parking tickets, dog licenses, permits and eventually utility bills through the same portal. The new ERP will also offer City employees a user-friendly interface for internal tasks, such as accounting and human resources.
