Nuttall Place Fire Incident

Damaged townhome at Nuttall Place, Dumfries

On Thursday, August 3rd at 9:53 a. m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a townhouse fire located in the 16800 block of Nuttall Oak Place in Dumfries. Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews observed fire on the third floor balcony of the townhome. Firefighters initiated suppression operations and quickly extinguished the fire preventing further extension.
The occupants, two adults, were home at the time of the fire; however, no injuries were reported.  Preliminary damages were minimal, estimated at $7,500. The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
