Youth For Tomorrow is accepting referrals for their Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Substance Abuse Program for adolescents in our Woodbridge satellite office located at 14000 Crown Court, Suite 101 in Woodbridge.
This program will focus on prevention, intervention and treatment of Substance Use Disorders through evidence based practices. These services are delivered by staff who specialize in Substance Use Disorder Treatment.
The program will serve ages 14 -18, male and female, to those who meet the criteria for placement in a clinically managed intensive outpatient program. Each participant will be treated with dignity and respect as they pursue their path of discovery and recovery during their three- to four-month participation in the Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Program. As part of their evidenced based treatment, random urine drug screens and alcohol reading strips will be given.
The group days and hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, from 4:00 until 7:00 p. m. Thursday is the family segment of treatment, during the second half of the group starting at 5:30 p. m. and ending at 7:00 p. m. Step-down services for treatment are provided. Phase I is three times per week, and Phase II is two times per week. Upon completion of the intensive outpatient program, a treatment recovery group is offered, which is Phase III of treatment for individual completing IOP. This group is held on Wednesday evenings from 4:00-5:30 p. m.
The IOP Program Services include ASAM level of care, 2.1, Intensive Outpatient Program.

- Group Treatment for Substance Abuse
- 12 Step Facilitation Outpatient Program
- The Matrix Model for Teens and Young Adults
Each individual entering the Intensive Outpatient Program for Adolescents will receive a comprehensive biopsychosocial-spiritual assessment from the Substance Abuse Program Manager. Additional assessment tools will be utilized to include the SASSI, C-SSRS, and a pain and nutrition screening.
- Treatment Modules:
- Group therapy
- Weekly and Bi-Monthly Individual & Family therapy
- Phases of treatment: Phase I: Phase II: Two times per week. Phase III Treatment Recovery Group one time per week.
- Monthly ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) assessment to track the individual participant’s progress.
- Additional services to include:
- Step down treatment recovery group
- Support groups resources and referrals
- Random urine drug and alcohol screening
- Referrals to other ASAM appropriate levels of care
The Intensive Outpatient Program for Adolescents provides competent, ethical and compassionate treatment, which seeks to assist adolescents in their goals for living healthy and productive lives. The program is clinically driven in accordance to ASAM criteria, as it seeks to individualize treatment approaches for the unique needs of each participant receiving services.
Cost: Our program will be using the Addiction and Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS) Reimbursement Structure. The ARTS program accepts Optima Health Family Care, Virginia Medicaid/Magellan Healthcare, Kaiser Permanente, Aetna, Anthem Health keepers Plus, Humana, Virginia Premier and INTotal Health. We would bill the individuals insurance first and any co-pays or deductibles would then be billed to the parent/legal guardian and can vary depending on the individual’s insurance plan coverage.
