Hemlock Ridge Court Fire Incident

On Thursday, Oct. 19 at 5:56 p. m., fire and rescue units were dispatched to a structure fire in a single family home located in the 6300 block of Hemlock Ridge Court in Woodbridge. Upon arrival, fire and rescue crews observed a garage fully engulfed in flames with extension into the home; a second alarm was requested. Firefighters initiated attack bringing the fire under control and extinguishing it within one hour. No injuries reported. The home sustained extensive damage estimated at $500,000. The Building Official has posted the home unsafe. The occupants, were not home at the time of the fire; Red Cross is assisting the family, two adults and four children, displaced by the fire. The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
