Bedrock YOGA will offer a restorative yoga workshop “Restore. Reflect. Renew.” on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 3:00-5:00 p. m. at the studio, 9415 Main St., Manassas. Lisa Leigh, RYT200, will lead the workshop.
Restorative Yoga is a highly therapeutic, gentle style of yoga that utilizes blankets, chairs, blocks, belts and bolsters to allow students to fully and effortlessly soften into relaxing poses. Supported in this way, the body lets go, the mind effortlessly and comfortably follows, and students experience complete relaxation.
Relaxation has been shown to reduce stress and stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself, making this workshop ideal for those recovering from illness or injury. Restorative Yoga is also highly beneficial for caregivers.
The workshop will also include a brief session of Yoga Nidra during which students will deepen their experience of relaxation, yet remain aware and conscious.
This workshop experience is open to everyone—regardless of yoga experience or level of fitness. To register, visit bedrockyoga.net/workshops.html.
