Holiday Light Shows are Coming to the Hylton Planetarium

Provided by Prince William County Schools (PWCS)

Looking for something festive to do this holiday season? Look no further than the Irene V. Hylton Planetarium’s presentation of “Laser Holidays” at Hylton High School. Enjoy a perfect blend of traditional holiday favorites mixed with some modern-day holiday tunes, all set to laser lights for a holiday experience unlike any other!

Planetarium Director Tony Kilgore will offer a short tour of the winter sky followed by the “Star of Bethlehem“ story, where we learn just what was, or was not, this special celestial object we hear about every December. Or you can see a more lighthearted, fun show, “The Alien Who Stole Christmas!” and join jolly old Santa and a concerned alien, Mr. Freep, as they explore the planets in the solar system and meet the Christmas Eve needs of their fictitious inhabitants.

Tickets are $10 for all shows (cash only). Advance tickets go on sale Dec. 1 for all shows and can be purchased at the Hylton High School main office, Monday–Friday from 8:00 a. m. – 4:00 p. m. or on the day of the show at the Planetarium box office starting 30 minutes before the first showing. Children 3 or younger may sit on a parent or guardian’s lap and do not require a ticket.

Seating is limited to 65 for each show, so get your tickets early! Visit HyltonPlanetarium.com for more information.
