New Exhibit features Paint Manassas

Provided by City of Manassas

The new exhibit at The Hall in City Hall features the work of local artists who participated in the 11th Annual Paint! Manassas competition.  This is a plein air, or outdoor, competition where participants focus their pieces on buildings, settings or people they see in the Historic Downtown area of the City of Manassas.

This year’s winners are: in first place, Mackey’s by Michele Frantz; in second place Bruu Doorway, by Todd Cumpton; and in third place Grounds Central, by Karen Suarez.  Honorable mentions were given to Maria Briganti, Rachel Garcia-Palmer, Laura Lavarnway, and Sarah Prados.

These pieces and more can be viewed at 9027 Center Street, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. and are free to the public.  Exhibits in The Hall at City Hall rotate on a monthly basis and include different forms of visual art.  For more information about art in the City of Manassas, visit manassascity.org/art.
