Home-based STEAM Learning Center is looking for experienced Early Childhood Education professionals who have a desire to volunteer time, talent, and expertise to children to help properly prepare them for kindergarten.
(Could be perfect for retired professionals who still have a desire to be in a classroom environment, with fewer children, and focus specifically on kindergarten preparation.)
Successful applicants will serve as a teacher for an Infants, Toddlers and up to five-year-olds classrooms with a direct focus on creating a stimulating, age-appropriate environment and implementing classroom activities that are conducive to STEAM learning. Will work with Director and parents in nurturing maximum growth and development of their children to properly prepare children for kindergarten.
Responsibilities and Duties
Serves as a volunteer teacher for an Infant, Toddler, and up to five-year-olds classrooms with a direct focus on creating a stimulating, age-appropriate environment and implementing STEAM classroom activities that are conducive to learning.
Qualifications and Skills
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two or more years of college, including at least 15 hours of early childhood education courses in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development with one – five years experience in a child development facility and/or current Child Development Associate (CDA) with an Infant & Toddler Endorsement (preferred). Preference given to applicants with Associate or Bachelor Degree in early childhood education, early childhood development, child and family studies, or a closely related field.
