Leadership Prince William has announced the selection of Andrea Short to serve as their new Executive Director. Andrea will fill the role beginning in January 2018.

“We are thrilled Andrea will be joining Leadership Prince William,” said Mary Finnigan, Leadership Prince William Chair. “With her volunteer leadership experience and talents in community outreach, media relations, and marketing, along with her deep commitment to our mission, Andrea will be a tremendous asset.”

Leadership Prince William is a network of community leaders representing governments, businesses, and the nonprofit sectors of the Prince William Region. Their Signature Program brings together civic-minded adults for a dynamic 10-month leadership skills development program. The Summer Youth Academy offers regional middle school-aged leaders a unique leadership and team-building experience over ten days each summer.

A lifelong resident of Prince William County, Andrea currently serves as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Prince William Chamber of Commerce. Previously, she was Director of Events for the Chamber. Andrea has been actively involved with Leadership Prince William since 2014. She was appointed as Secretary on the Board of Regents earlier this year. She is a Class of 2015 Leadership Prince William Graduate.

Andrea says of her new position, “I am honored to have been selected as Executive Director for Leadership Prince William. In the early days of my employment with the Chamber, I came to the realization that there was so much I did not know about how our community operates, and the many opportunities for service. The last 10 years have been a journey of continued discovery and deepening passion to serve. I am grateful to the Prince William Chamber for the years of growth and to Leadership Prince William for the opportunity to help equip and launch local leaders.”

Leadership Prince William is an independent 501(c) 3 organization. LPW alumni include CEOs, entrepreneurs, elected officials, executives, veterans and dozens of community leaders who shape the communities of Prince William County and the Cities of Manassas and Manassas Park.
