Hylton High’s Ricky Slade signs for Penn State University

Surrounded by family, coaches, teachers, teammates, and friends, in less than a minute, Ricky Slade made it official and signed his paperwork declaring him to attend and play football for Penn State University.  As a freshman, Slade was being scouted out by schools, including Penn State. Slade is the 2017 Gatorade Virginia Player of the year, and is the third Hylton High School football player to sign with Penn State University.

“It was always Penn State,” said Slade. “They have it all – academics, football, and it just felt like home.”

Congratulations to Slade and Penn State University. We are excited to see what the future will bring.
