Tribute at The Glen, an assisted living and memory care facility in Woodbridge, entertained residents and family members with The Taste of Christmas holiday party held on Dec. 14. The holiday party was made extra special by featuring holiday desserts from around the world.
“We know how important it is to celebrate and nurture each individual resident so we are honoring Christmas delights from around the world,” said Kimberly Smith, Tribute’s President. The desserts came from France, Denmark, Italy, Philippines, and of course, the USA.
The desserts included Gingerbread cookies (Germany), Yule logs (France) , Rum balls (England), Panettone (Italy) and Shortcake cookies (USA).
Tribute’s holiday party also included the Dickens singers which came to Tribute at the Glen for a special holiday performance. They sang all the traditional holiday tunes, but a crowd pleaser was “The Twelve Days of Christmas” – everyone joined in!
Residents and their family members enjoyed the tasty desserts and the musical performance to celebrate the holidays.
Debbie Griggs, daughter of William Motley, one of the residents at Tribute, said, “Time with music and family is priceless.”
Meagan Cunningham, Tribute’s Director of Excitement said, “It was wonderful to see the residents enjoy themselves so much. Both the Assisted Living and Memory Care residents celebrate the season together.”
The celebrations will continue for the New Year as Tribute will be planning and hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration for its residents and guests as well.
