Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) is looking for dynamic individuals to help prepare students for the future by hosting a NOVA Adjunct Recruitment Fair, Saturday, Jan. 27 from 10:00 a. m. to 2:00 p. m. at the Brault Building (main level) on NOVA’s Annandale Campus, 4001 Wakefield Chapel Road, Annandale.
At this college-wide event, prospective employees will meet with NOVA deans and faculty from all six NOVA campuses (Annandale, Alexandria, Loudoun, Manassas, Springfield and Woodbridge) to learn about employment opportunities for potential adjunct professors in the following disciplines:
- Computer Science
- Developmental English
- Political Science
- Veterinary Technician
- Dental Hygiene
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Health Information Management
- Medical Laboratory Assistant
- Medical Laboratory Technician
Although requirements may vary, some career and technical courses require an associate degree and two years occupational experience while others may be based on certifications and occupational experience. Candidates for all adjunct positions are expected to have an understanding of instructional technology and, as needed, to receive training in such tools as the Blackboard learning management system. To expedite the check-in and review process, participants should bring one form of government issued ID, unofficial transcript(s), a resume or curriculum vitae (CV) and cover letter.
