KPWB Announces Sponsors, Partners for Run for the Earth 5K

Keep Prince William Beautiful, Prince William County, Virginia’s leading environmental action organization to inspire individual responsibility and collective action to keep neighborhoods clean, green and beautiful announced today sponsors and partners for the annual Run for the Earth 5K on April 28, 2018 in Historic Occoquan.

KPWB thanks the following businesses, individuals, and organizations for sponsoring the Run for the Earth: Cornerstone Landscaping, Earnie Porta for Mayor, Madigan’s Waterfront, Penguin Paddling, Supervisor Ruth Anderson, The Town of Occoquan, Naz Bro Fudge, The Secret Garden Cafe, Timberland at Potomac Mills and Virginia Runners.

“We are delighted by the outpouring of support from folks in Occoquan as we look forward to a great celebration of Arbor Day,” said Jason Parsons, KPWB Executive Director, “Our Run for the Earth 5K is one of the most storied and beautiful 5K routes in Virginia and we look forward to the community joining us to celebrate Arbor Day in this beautiful Virginia town.”

The annual Run for the Earth 5K kicks off at 8:30 a. m. at Occoquan’s River Mill Park. At 9:45 a. m., race-goers and the community are invited to join officials from the Town of Occoquan and Keep Prince William Beautiful for a tree-planting ceremony on Commerce Street as Occoquan celebrates their designation as a Tree City USA.
