May is National Military Appreciation Month and National Bike Month

Serve Our Willing Warriors (SOWW), a non-profit organization based in Haymarket, is holding an Inaugural Warrior Bike Ride on Sunday, Mary 6. The event is being presented by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and is in partnership with The Farm Brewery at Broad Run and Haymarket Bicycles. The event has raised over $50,000 to support wounded, ill and injured service members and their families through their services at the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run in Haymarket.

The event will take place at The Farm Brewery at Broad Run, 16015 John Marshall Highway, Broad Run, and in the surrounding areas. Check in begins at 7:00 a. m.; the Opening Ceremony at 7:30 a. m.

Riders can choose from four bicycle routes: a 10-mile Family Ride, 25-mile Country Challenge, 30-mile Gravel Ride or a 100 KM (63-mile) Metric Century Ride. The event will have mechanical support, SAG support for riders, great rest stops for replenishment and hydration socializing with fellow riders. First Aid stations are also available throughout the course.

After the recreational ride, participants can enjoy the festivities back at The Farm Brewery at Broad Run. There will be live music, a catered lunch for all participants and a sampling of our signature beverage “Special Ops – Raspercot Ale.”

The cost to participate is $80 per rider. Now until Saturday May 6, our audience can receive a 25% discount with the code WeValueVeterans. Riders can register at bikereg.com/37062.
