The week of June 3 was a busy one for many people, and it certainly was for us, your friends at #PWLiving. Not only were we working diligently on our July issue (which is going to be amazing, of course), we held our first photo contest of 2018 on our Facebook page.

Okay, we admit. It was a spontaneous decision encouraged by someone on our team who said, “You know, pets run the internet.”

You proceeded to prove that statement true. More than 6,500 people tuned in, hundreds dropping in pics of their best pet pals. Some readers just came to look, like and share, and others started conversations, realizing they knew fellow participants. It was wonderful to see our community coming together for some simple fun. And we loved seeing the photos of those happy pets you are taking such great care of. We are grateful for that and your participation.

Time to Pick Your Favorite #PWLiving Pet Pic!

And so now, the big moment – the finalists. There were so many beautiful, silly, fun, sweet animals posted, it was really difficult to choose these few. But chose we did, based on the animal’s demeanor, the meaning of the story behind the animal, whether or not the poster had liked our page and/or how the pic made us feel. Because isn’t that what we love about animals? They allow us to feel, without judgment. And because of that, we often end up feeling a whole lot better.Molly Maid WFC, Western Fairfax County, Prince Wiliam County cleaners, house cleaning NOVA, Northern Virginia house cleaning, maids, Manassas

We love our pets, even during summer shedding season. But you really can have both a furry friend and a clean home, especially if your pet wins you the prize! The winning pet family will receive one hour of free cleaning by our sponsor, Molly Maid WFC, a locally owned Molly Maid franchise providing professional service by trustworthy, licensed, insured maids that undergo a criminal background check and driving record verification. To collect the prize, the winner need to like our #PWLiving Facebook page and Molly Maid WFC’s Facebook page. (Only fair, right?) Some restrictions may apply.
