There are so many reasons for visitors to enjoy Prince William County this month. Summer is here and there are a variety of events you can find throughout the region to get out and enjoy! Events include concerts, festivals and family friendly events for the community. For more events in Greater Prince William, click here. 4th of July Events:  

Dale City Independence Day Parade (Dale City) Celebrate America on the fourth of July in Dale City for the 47th annual Dale City Independence Day Parade. Come bleed red white and blue while you enjoy the showcasing of scout troops, churches, politicians, performing arts groups, and more. The parade lineup begins at 9:00 a. m. Following the patriotic parade will be the Family Fun Day festivities including vendors, games, and entertainment which run until 2:00 p. m.

Potomac Nationals vs Salem Red Sox (Woodbridge) Swing on down to the annual Potomac Nationals Game vs. the Salem Red Sox to enjoy America’s favorite pastime, baseball! Players will be wearing military themed jerseys during the game as the slide in to first base to the waving of mini American flag that fans can take home. After the game don’t strike out, stay for the postgame firework show!

Celebrate America (Manassas) The celebration surrounds the Historic Downtown train depot, the Harris Pavilion and the Manassas Museum. There will be great rides for the kids starting at 3:00 p. m. The rest of the fun, including food concessions and novelty vendors will begin at 4:00 p. m.

Country Fest @ Farm Brew LIVE (Manassas) Calling all Country Music fans! Make your plans early to attend the COUNTRY FEST @ Farm Brew LIVE! Get out your boots and hats and join us for 10 amazing country bands, including DELTA RAE, performing on The YARD Stage throughout the weekend! Enjoy all that the campus has to offer! From craft beer to pit BBQ and handmade ice cream, there’s something for everyone at this festival. There’s even a mechanical bull too!

Jason Aldean at Jiffy Lube Live (Bristow) Dust off your cowboy hat and plan a summer night singing along to Jason Aldean, Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina at Jiffy Lube Live!

Sunday Funday at Brew Republic (Woodbridge) Starting at noon enjoy comfort food, pro sports games on the TVs, board games, hot and BBQ wings, $5 mimosas, and all the craft beer you could want. Don’t miss out on the first Sunday Funday of the month.

July 2

Imagine Dragons at Jiffy Lube Live (Bristow) Jam out to the hit rock band Imagine Dragons as they make a pit stop in Bristow Virginia to perform at Jiffy Lube Live. Whether you are dancing with friends on the lawn or touching their hands from the pit you are sure to have an unimaginably good time during this summer concert. Imagine Dragons is just one band of many coming to Jiffy Lube Live this summer so be sure to check the listings for more.

 July 5

Colonial Children’s Games at Leesylvania State Park (Woodbridge) Learn what it was like to be a child during the Revolutionary and Civil War. Experience firsthand what life was like by playing various period games such as Graces and Jacobs Ladder. Practice your hand eye coordination on other games like cup and ball. Everyone is welcome!

July 6

FOX 5 – Zip Trips LIVE at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center (Woodbridge) Want to be featured on live television? Now is your chance! Come out to Stonebridge Potomac Mills from 6:00 to 11:00 a. m. for live music, food, fun, and a car giveaway! With various food giveaways and children’s activities it will be a morning of fun for all!

Friday Night Hikes: Moonlight Walk at Leesylvania State Park (Woodbridge) Stroll through the night as you take a two-mile hike listening to and identifying the music of the night. Using only night vision challenge yourself to adventure deep in to the history of the Leesylvania State Park. Don’t miss out on the first night hike of the month on this special moonlight walk.

Walking Tour of the Historic Town of Occoquan (Occoquan) Travel back in time starting at Town Hall at 7:00 p. m. as you walk the historic streets of Occoquan learning about how the town has evolved from a historic trading post to the modern town we know today.

Ladies Night at La Grange Winery (Haymarket) Grab the girls and call a baby sitter because it’s ladies night at the Winery at La Grange in Haymarket. Indulge yourself in DIY Wine Bottle Craft activities, shop at boutique clothing vendors such as Nollypop Mobile Boutique, and treat yourself with various wine specials. Allow your taste beds to flourish as you pair Danibelle’s Lebanese Cuisine from 5:00-8:00 p. m.

July 7

Farmers Market at Potomac Mills (Woodbridge)  Don’t miss the first farmers market of the month conveniently located in the commuter lot of Potomac Mills Mall Woodbridge location from 9:00 a. m. – 1:00 p. m. Enjoy local produce and other goods as you and your family enjoy an afternoon out at the market.  

Movies Under the Stars at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center (Woodbridge) Come watch a League of Their Own during the first Movies Under the Stars of the summer. A League of Their Own will be played on a large screen in the center of the outdoor complex so make sure to bring blankets and chairs! Either picnic or eat out at one of the fantastic restaurants in the vicinity.

MOViE NiTE- Fitness, Film, and Family Fun (Woodbridge) Destress from the work week with a few minutes of movement before the movie of the month is shown. Revolutionary War Weekend at the Weems Botts Museum (Dumfries) Take a tour of the Weems Botts Museum during Fourth of July weekend and enjoy the family friendly holiday program! Learn about the way the colonists rebelled before and during the American Revolution. Taste herbal tea once consumed by boycotting colonists, make and take home a piece of homespun fabric to show off your allegiance, write a coded message like a Patriot spy, and sign your name your name on the Prince William Resolves with an ink and quill!

July 10

Exotic Animals Galore at Chinn Park Regional Library (Woodbridge) Meet 8 new colorful and exotic slithering friends at the Chinn Park Regional Library in Woodbridge. This wildly exciting and educating show will showcase eight exotic snakes presented by a wildlife educator in a short show followed by a meet and greet of the snakes and educator. Slither on in to the library at 2:00 p. m. to catch this great show. Tickets sell fast, so pre-order now!

July 11

2018 Summer Concert Series at the National Museum of the Marine Corps (Triangle) Lay out your blankets and camp chair as you listen to the free concert by the U.S. Navy Band The Commodores. This summer concert series is the first of many concerts that will be performed throughout summer as military bands and ensembles come from all over to perform on the parade deck. July 12

Chris Brown Presents: Heartbreak on a Full Moon Tour (Bristow) The wait is over! Chris Brown will be performing his Heartbreak on a Full Moon Tour at 7:00 p. m. at Jiffy Lube Live! Chris Brown will be joined by H.E.R and Rich the Kid as he brings down the house with his new album.

July 14

Family Day- Stem Is Cool at the National Museum of the Marine Corps (Triangle) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Oh My! STEM is all around us in the world and at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. Learn how STEM has shaped the Marines in the past, present, and future through hands on activities and discover carts from 12:00-3:00 p. m. as we celebrate family day. 

July 15  

Potomac Nationals vs. Fredrick Keys (Woodbridge) Sunday afternoon’s mean watching the Potomac Nationals take on the Fredrick Keys! Enjoy the game and kids day at the ballpark with face painting, free food for kids, and the possibility of a kid being randomly selected to be an announcer. Following the game, kids will be able to run from base to base playing catch and collecting autographs! Don’t miss out on a military jersey themed kids game!

July 17

Single Carrot Theatre: Rumpled! (Manassas) Experience the world of Rumpelstiltskin in an original adaption by Single Carrot Theatre. Rumpled! Uses humor, voice, movement, and love to convey a unique version of the classic tale of Rumpelstiltskin. After the show, students have the opportunity to share their thoughts and ask questions about the performance in a post-show discussion with the actors.

Levi Stephens at Farm Brew Live (Manassas) Enjoy a night of music at the Yard at one of Farm Brew Live’s many summer concerts. Levi Stephens is an up and coming artist who will be playing from 5:00-9:00 p. m. For more concerts and information visit the Farm Brew Live website.

Arcade Fire Comes to Jiffy Lube Live (Bristow) Arcade Fire’s Everything Now Continued tour 2018 comes to Jiffy Lube Live on July 20 at 6:30 p. m! Tickets are in high demand for this iconic Canadian indie rock band, so get your tickets now.

July 21

 Music on Mill Summer Concert at Historic Occoquan (Occoquan) Sit back relax and enjoy a free concert at River Mill Park featuring Sub-Radio, an indie/pop/rock band. Bring the family for a picnic as you enjoy food on blankets and lawn chairs listening to the music from 6:00-8:00 p. m.

Dale City Farmers Market (Dale City) Enjoy fresh locally grown and locally produced fruits, vegetables, and more! Don’t forget to stop by the authentic German bratwurst truck to try a different sausage every week for an entire month. Food, friends, fresh air, and more all at the Dale City Farmer’s Market.

July 26

2018 Summer Concert Series Featuring the U.S. Navy Band (Triangle) All summer 2018 the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation is hosting a Summer Concert Series featuring military bands and ensembles from various branches. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, pack a picnic, and head up to the parade deck in front of the museum for a free performance by the U.S Navy Concert Band.

July 28

Jazz in the Park at Mary Louise Jackson Amphitheater (Manassas) Enjoy an evening in the park full of live music and fun ranging from the music stylings of Norman Conner’s tribute to Phyllis Hyman to Vanilla Summit.

July 31

Flow Circus: Science of Awesome at Hylton Performing Arts Center (Manassas) Explore the wonderful world of science and skill as you build toys where things fall, balance, and spin. After participating in Paul Millers show you will be left with an urge to discover more of the invisible and physical world. This fun for all ages show is guaranteed to keep you in a trance as you watch Paul juggle and do comedic magic.
