Two PWCS Groundbreakings in October

Provided by Prince William County Schools (PWCS)

The public is invited to attend two PWCS groundbreakings in October.

The first groundbreaking will be on Oct. 9 at 9:30 a. m., to celebrate the start of construction of a western transportation facility adjacent to Jiffy Lube Live. The transportation facility will be located at 5728 Wellington Road, Gainesville. Access to the site of the groundbreaking will be from the “VIP Parking” area of Jiffy Lube Live, courtesy of Jiffy Lube Live officials.

The second groundbreaking is for Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 9:30 a. m., for construction of the county’s next elementary school, at 4060 Prince William Parkway. This groundbreaking, originally scheduled for Sept. 13, was postponed because of expected heavy rain from Hurricane Florence.

School Board members, other elected officials, and PWCS administrative staff are expected to attend the groundbreakings.
