United Way Financial Empowerment Center

United Way of the National Capital Area (United Way NCA), with its partners SunTrust Foundation, SkillSource Group, Inc. and Virginia Cooperative Extension Prince William, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Financial Empowerment Center. The new Prince William County Center is at the Virginia Career Works – Prince William Center in Woodbridge (13370 Minnieville Road). 

United Way NCA Financial Empowerment Centers offer direct access to high quality financial services and guidance in a welcoming, professional environment at no cost. 

This will be the fourth United Way NCA Financial Empowerment Center to open since 2015. Other locations include Prince George’s Community College’s Largo Campus, Skyland Workforce Center in Washington, D.C. and Fairfax South County Building in Alexandria.

United Way NCA’s Financial Empowerment Center at the Virginia Career Works – Prince William Center is made possible with support from founding partner SunTrust Foundation and in partnership with the SkillSource Group, Inc. and Virginia Cooperative Extension Prince William.

The ceremony will be held on Monday, Nov. 19, starting at 10:00 a. m. The program starts at 10:30 a. m. Tours will follow the program.

United Way NCA Financial Empowerment Centers offer direct access to high quality financial services and guidance in a welcoming, professional environment at no cost. Individuals and families who have struggled to find solutions with traditional banks will have a trusted resource in these centers to help them gain greater control over their personal finances. By providing a convenient pathway to these solutions, the Financial Empowerment Centers are helping to realize one of United Way NCA’s most critical objectives: enabling members of the community to achieve greater financial stability for themselves and their households.
