It’s Wednesday and we’re over the hump. That means we’re looking forward to local weekend events right here in Prince William, Manassas, and Manassas Park.

Prince William Events

Join Congregation Ner Shalom for Shabbat Chanukah starting at 6:00 p. m. for their annual Religious School-sponsored Chanukah Dinner and chanukah lighting. Services begin at 7:30 p. m., and will be led with participation by the Religious School, including lots of festive singing and light! It’s WinterFest in Lake Ridge, Occoquan, and Lorton this Saturday, starting with Santa’s Lake Ridge Parade at Tackett’s Mill at 11:00 a. m. Then, it’s over to Historic Occoquan for shopping, caroling, hot cocoa, and fireworks. The Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton is hosting the Second Annual Instrument Petting Zoo and Second Saturday Art Walk. The Dumfries Christmas Parade will step off from Main Street and end at Dumfries Shopping Center. There will be food, music and fun for everyone at the shopping center during and after the parade. The Mistletoe Magic Holiday Festival will feature seasonal treats, games for all ages, arts & crafts, festive train rides, stationary hot air balloons, and a meet and greet with Mr. Claus. Manassas Events

The First Friday event Jolly Ol’ Confections is a tasting event of Santa’s Sweet Treats! Visit the shops in Historic Downtown Manassas and enjoy unlimited samples of desserts created by our local restaurants. After tasting all of the desserts, be sure to vote for your favorite! Dessert Taster Passes may be purchased at any participating merchant for $10 cash. The City of Manassas Farmer’s Market is hosting a Holiday Market on the Museum Lawn. The GFWC Woman’s Club of Manassas is hosting their Annual Holiday House Tour on Sunday. Four homes in Historic Downtown Manassas will be on the tour. Liberia House will host refreshments, entertainment, and an ornaments sale.  Tickets available at The Things I Love, The Museum, The Train Station, and The Flower Gallery. Manassas Park Events

Join Santa for pancakes, photos, and holiday fun! Children of all ages are welcome to come have breakfast with Santa, play games, crafts, and more. The Manassas Park Light Parade is an amazing display of lights on wheels. The parade begins at General’s Ridge Golf Course and ends at the Manassas Park Community Center. Saturday, Dec. 8, 5:45-7:30 p. m. | General’s Ridge Golf Course, 9701 Manassas Drive, Manassas Park
