The Department of Development Services Small Business Project Management (SBPM) Program supports small business owners with commercial real estate projects. In November 2023, 32 small business owners were approved to ‘Open for Business’ through the SBPM program.

“We encourage everyone starting a business and buying or leasing building space to speak with our commercial real estate subject matter experts,” said Mandi Spina, Director, Department of Development Services. “As we approach the end of the year it’s the prime time to lock in business strategies for 2024. This is when most entrepreneurs look for guidance and existing business owners seek to improve from this year to the next.”

This year, from January to November, 317 small business owners have started their businesses with the help of the SBPM program. Over 2,124 small business owners and entrepreneurs have received services since the SBPM program first launched in October 2018.
