On Sept. 24, Habitat for Humanity International celebrated 50 years of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Since its founding in Americus, Georgia, in 1976, Habitat has helped more than 65 million people around the world build, improve, or finance a place to call home.
Here in Prince William County, that mission continues through neighbors helping neighbors, and volunteers make every project possible.
Have you recently purchased a home or are looking to purchase a home? Join Habitat on a project site to gain practical, hands-on experience. You do not need to arrive as an expert. You can learn alongside skilled volunteers while helping make a real difference for local homeowners.
If you’re retired or semi-retired and ready to share what you know, your experience can help guide, teach, and encourage the next generation of volunteers. Whether you have construction knowledge, repair skills, project-management experience, or simply a willingness to mentor, there is a place for you on the team.
From critical home repairs and accessibility improvements to home rehabilitation and neighborhood revitalization, every hour volunteered helps create safer, more affordable homes across Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park.
Help us carry this legacy forward. Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, learn by doing, teach by serving, and be part of what’s built next.
