Dear Chamber Members,
Wow, do we have a great community or what?
Last week we sent out a message asking those members who were offering assistance to businesses and people impacted by the government shutdown. The response was amazing! In fact – we heard from so many about what they were doing that by the time we had assembled the information, the shutdown had ended!
We want to express our thanks to all who responded – the list is below (if we’ve missed anyone we apologize!):
  • ACTS/Action in Community Through Service
  • Alamo Drafthouse Cinema – Woodbridge
  • Apple Federal Credit Union
  • BB&T
  • Cakes by Happy Eatery
  • City of Manassas
  • Cyber Defense Solutions
  • Farmers Insurance
  • Girls on the Run of NOVA
  • House of Mercy
  • Hylton Performing Arts Center
  • Independence Empowerment Center
  • KMC Empowerment, LLC
  • Little Bull Run Dental
  • Lotus Wellness Center
  • Northern Virginia Community College
  • Northern Virginia Family Service – SERVE Campus
  • Northwest Federal Credit Union
  • Prince William County Government
  • Sandy Spring Bank
  • United Bank
  • Virginia Employment Commission
  • Volunteer Prince William
  • Wells Fargo
We are also mindful that many are still feeling the after-effects of the shutdown – we know many of these organizations are still offering assistance so if you find yourself in that situation please contact Debbie Jones in confidence and she will help you make a connection.
Unfortunately, we also face the possibility it may happen again. In the event of another shutdown, we will do our best to quickly assemble a list of resources for members who are impacted.
Again, many thanks to you, our members. Anyone who wants to know why Prince William, Manassas, and Manassas Park are a great place to be in business need only look to you and all that you do.
Thanks – Betty Dean, Chairman
