This one-day adult musical theater camp is designed as an inclusive, beginner-friendly community arts experience where participants learn foundational musical theater skills while collaboratively rehearsing and performing two ensemble musical theater selections inspired by beloved Broadway productions.

Participants will engage in:

singing
movement/choreography
acting exercises
ensemble collaboration
community-building activities

SCHEDULE:

Morning Sessions

9 to 9:30 a.m. – Check-In & Breakfast
9:30 to 10 a.m. – Introductions & Community-Building
10 to 11 a.m. – Musical Theater Warm-Up Workshop

Participants engage in:

- vocal warm-ups
- movement exercises
- acting activities
- ensemble collaboration games

11 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Ensemble Song Workshop #1: We Go Together (Grease)
12 to 1 p.m. – Lunch & Learn

Informal conversation and reflection on:

- Education & the arts
- community theater
- creativity & confidence
- Lifelong collaborative learning

Afternoon Sessions

1 to 2 p.m. – Ensemble Song Workshop #2: Seasons of Love (RENT)
2 to 3:30 p.m. – Collaborative Rehearsal Session

Participants revisit and refine Songs #1 and #2 as needed:

- ensemble singing
- staging
- movement
- transitions
- performance confidence
3:30 to 4 p.m. – Break / Community Mingle
4 p.m. – Community Showcase

This event is a collaborative community arts fundraiser benefiting ARTfactory and local charity CAREducation Foundation. This workshop is intended as an educational and community arts experience and is volunteer-led by local educators and theater artists.

Suggested donation for Camp Participants: $50 (includes breakfast & lunch). Workshop registration.

After camp, come for a Community Showcase and Reflection. All are welcome! Suggested donation for audience members: $10 to $15. Purchase performance tickets.
