My Natural Me Foundation is proud to announce that Community Admission is now free for the inaugural Caring Hearts: Dementia Caregiver Expo, taking place on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center in Manassas.
Thanks to the generous support of the Potomac Health Foundation and community sponsors, the Foundation has removed the admission fee to ensure every caregiver, family member, healthcare professional, and community member has access to the resources, education, and encouragement they deserve.
“Caregivers spend so much of their lives taking care of everyone else,” said Liletta Harlem, Founder and President of My Natural Me Foundation. “We realized the last thing we wanted was for someone to wonder if they could afford to attend. Because of our sponsors and supporters, our community has already invested in them. We simply want them to come.”
Unlike a traditional senior expo or health fair, Caring Hearts has been intentionally designed as a caregiver experience—one that places caregivers at the center of every part of the day.
Guests will enjoy thoughtfully designed experiences including:
- Community Resource Village featuring healthcare providers, nonprofits, transportation services, legal and financial resources, home care agencies, authors, and organizations dedicated to supporting caregivers.
- Move & Mobility Studio, presented by UVA Health, featuring gentle movement sessions and fall prevention education.
- Community Health Check, hosted by Dr. Mina Garett Scott, offering complimentary blood pressure screenings and wellness conversations.
- The Pause Room, a peaceful space where caregivers can rest, reflect, pray, journal, or simply enjoy a quiet moment.
- Community Leadership Celebration (12 to 1:30 p.m.), featuring a caregiver fashion show, community leader recognition, and a collective commitment to supporting caregivers throughout Northern Virginia.
More than an expo, the event has been intentionally designed to help caregivers feel seen, supported, and connected.
Throughout the day, attendees will discover practical resources, meet local organizations, connect with fellow caregivers, and experience an environment centered around one simple but powerful question:
“How are you doing?”
“People Come Before Programs has always been our guiding philosophy,” Harlem said. “Every room, every activity, and every conversation has been designed with caregivers in mind. We hope every person leaves feeling lighter than when they arrived.”
Before leaving, guests will be invited to visit the Caring Hearts Wall, where they’ll be encouraged to share one word describing how they feel after experiencing the day—a powerful reminder that caregivers deserve care, too.
