Orchestra students from middle and high schools across the county are honing their skills for the upcoming All-County Event on Jan. 20, at Woodbridge High School. This event will challenge select orchestra members as they rehearse new repertoire with guest conductors.

The All-County Senior and Junior Orchestra represents the best of the Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) music program, as participants audition for their place in the ensemble.

This year’s conductors bring a wealth of orchestra experience to the students. Jennifer Malachek, director of orchestra at Stonewall Jackson High School, will conduct the Junior Honors Orchestra. Daniel Myssyk, Virginia Commonwealth University Associate Professor and Director of Orchestral Activities, will conduct the Senior Honors Orchestra.

This All-County Event is a free concert and open to the public. The Junior and Senior Orchestras will perform beginning at 3:00 p. m.
