Amazon PWCCF grant to Virginia Women & Family Support Center

The Amazon Prince William County Community Fund has awarded a grant to Virginia Women and Family Support Center in support of their Breaking Cycles Program.

This investment strengthens VAWFSC’s work with mothers and children experiencing homelessness in Prince William County, providing not only safe housing, but the stability and support necessary for long-term independence.

Through the Breaking Cycles Program, mothers receive two years of structured residential support that includes:

  • Safe, stable housing
  • Individualized case management
  • Maternal and mental health support
  • Financial literacy and job-readiness training
  • Consistent prenatal and postnatal care connections
  • Trauma-informed counseling
  • …and so much more.

In a region where rising housing costs, limited childcare access, and health disparities continue to impact women and children, stable housing becomes the foundation for healthy pregnancies, economic mobility, and lasting change.

This partnership allows VAWFSC to continue walking alongside mothers as they rebuild, pursue employment, prioritize their health, and create safe, stable homes for their children.

VAWFSC is deeply grateful for partners who believe in long-term, community-based solutions to maternal health disparities and family homelessness.
