Provided by Prince William County Schools
Parents and students from across the county are invited to attend “Super Saturday” on November 19 from 9:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. at Stonewall Jackson High School. The school is located at 8820 Rixlew Lane, Manassas, VA.
Presentations on the federal and state financial aid process will be held in the auditorium at 9:15 a. m. and 10:15 a. m. Assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, will be provided to new as well as returning college students. The FAFSA is the form used by colleges, universities, and career-technical schools across the country to determine eligibility for student federal financial aid.
Prior to November 19, students and their parents are advised to request a FAFSA identification number electronically at fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm. Parents should get their own FAFSA ID in addition to their student’s.
Students/parents should bring the following documents to the event:
- FAFSA ID number,
- Social Security number,
- Driver’s license,
- 2016 W-2 forms,
- 2016 federal income tax return (or most recent estimate),
- List of untaxed income,
- Current bank and investment records, and
- Alien registration or permanent resident card if applicable.
Super Saturday is an annual service project of the Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators to help families understand the complexity of financial aid and provide free one-on-one assistance in completing the federal financial aid form for postsecondary education, FAFSA.
