“Winter daylight may be brief and dull, but “Art Feast” at the Hylton Performing Arts Center promises a long running, brilliant show. Presented by the Associate Artists from the Workhouse Arts Center—a group of over 20 visual artists—expect to find a variety of styles—whimsical, realistic, Impressionist, abstract, all in a variety of media—paintings in oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and jewelry, mixed media, photography and fiber. Feed your eyes, mind and soul with joy and inspiration at ‘Art Feast’.”

The Associate Artists at the Workhouse started in September 2008 when the Workhouse Arts Foundation opened the Workhouse Arts Center. This group of established and emerging artists work in a variety of media – watercolor, acrylic, oil, collage, photography, fiber and resin jewelry—has been exhibiting their art on campus every month since then. We are located in at the Workhouse Arts Center in Gallery 9 (located in building W-9). At the beginning of each month, a whole new collection of art by our 20+ members is installed. This assures our galleries are always fresh, vital, and inspiring. Our galleries are open during regular Workhouse hours and the Associate Artists participate in the Second Saturday ArtWalks held each month (the 2nd Saturday of every month) from 6:00-9:00pm.  These opening receptions are free to the public and present a group exhibit showcasing the art of every member and a solo show highlighting the work of a featured artist.
