ARTfactory is hosting a free gallery event ARTfactory on Saturday, July 16, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The event is an Artist Talk in which the featured artist will be discussing the stories behind her works in “The Many Rooms” art exhibit. It’s a very impactful exhibition by DC mixed media artist Zsudayka Nzinga, and all of the works were created during Covid, mostly during quarantine. They are beautiful, intricate mixed media works on unstretched and stretched canvas – mostly created with hand painted paper, Ankara fabric, and acrylic paint. Even the works that are framed were built custom by the artist for the artwork.
The works are very complex, and some of them present like quilts. I’ve attached some images for context, but images do not do the work justice. You can also view some of the details of the artwork on ARTfactory’s Facebook and Instagram account (@VirginiaARTfactory).
