The New Island-Inspired Casual Dining Restaurant Marks the First Location in Virginia

 

Woodbridge exteriorWOODBRIDGE, VA.  – January 23, 2013 – Bahama Breeze Island Grille — the casual dining restaurant that gives guests the feeling of an island escape — celebrates the grand opening at Potomac Mills, the largest outlet and value retail shopping destination in Virginia, this week. The new restaurant, which created approximately 150 new jobs in the area, is located at 2714 Potomac Mills Circle in Woodbridge.
“We are excited to introduce Bahama Breeze to Potomac Mills and residents of Northern Virginia,” said John Wilkerson, Bahama Breeze Senior Vice President of Operations. “At Bahama Breeze, our mission is to provide an unforgettable island escape for our guests by offering fresh and delicious foods and tropical drinks in a warm and vibrant atmosphere.”

The Potomac Mills location offers approximately 8,500 square feet of dining space and room for more than 300 guests. The location is open daily at 11 a.m. for lunch and dinner.

This location will feature happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will offer late-night happy hour which runs Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to close. Both happy hours feature all appetizers at half price, where guest can enjoy the full menu of appetizers including popular favorites: Crispy Onion Rings, Jumbo Lump Crab Stack, Jamaican Chicken Wings and Classic Cheeseburger Sliders. The early happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. will also include drink specials.

“Our restaurant is designed to create an atmosphere of casual relaxation and fun, like you’d find in the islands,” said Sufian Essawi, the new restaurant’s general manager. “As the weather gets colder and the winter sets in, the Bahama Breeze in Woodbridge offers a tropical dining adventure with friendly service, delicious food and handcrafted tropical drinks.”

The new restaurant is designed to nurture a warm, island-like atmosphere featuring vibrant colors, high ceilings and lush landscaping.  The space can accommodate small and large parties in intimate and group settings, has a spacious bar and an outdoor deck with comfortable seating and large HD flat-screen TVs that guests can enjoy during warmer months.

“Potomac Mills continues to grow, adding more exclusive shopping and dining options for local residents and visitors to enjoy,” said Andrea Spessard, general manager at Potomac Mills.  “We strive to provide the best possible experience and the addition of the first-in-market location from Bahama Breeze will enhance our unique brand of shopping.”

Known for its fresh seafood, wood-grilled chicken and flame-grilled steaks made with island inspiration, the Bahama Breeze menu features a variety of house-made burgers, Jerk Chicken Pasta, Coconut Shrimp, Fresh Pan-Seared Salmon Pasta and Baby Back Ribs.  The restaurant also has a daily fresh fish menu, a wide selection of shareable appetizers such as Firecracker Shrimp and Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sliders and a “snacks and small plates” menu including Chicken Empanadas, Mojo Marinated Pork with Sweet Plantains and much more.

Thirsty guests can choose from an extensive bar menu with a large selection of handcrafted tropical drinks including mojitos, margaritas, martinis and tropical cocktails, as well as a diverse beer list that includes Aruba Red, a microbrew made especially for Bahama Breeze.  The restaurant’s line of premium tropical drinks, “Legendary Island Cocktails,” includes 10 authentic, custom-made drinks sourced from world-famous locales and created with the same techniques and ingredients that made them famous.
