As far as clubs go, a Diamond Ring club has a nice.. ring to it.

Bennett Whitlock, founder and CEO of Whitlock Wealth Management in Lake Ridge, was recently awarded the Circle of Success Diamond Ring for Ameriprise Financial professionals. Acceptance into the Diamond Ring Club is a prestigious achievement for Ameriprise Financial professionals, indicating a top-tier commitment to the financial services industry and a professional’s ability to consistently deliver outstanding service to clients. Whitlock said the Diamond Ring Club admittance is partly performance-based, but also depends on strong reviews from clients, excellent regulatory compliance, and a long-term consistency for growth and quality.

“It’s nice to know we have a very high performing team overall,” Whitlock said. “It’s brought us some good recognition – it’s something we’re proud of as a team.”

Over the past 27 years in the financial services industry, Whitlock has grown his team at Whitlock Wealth Management to 21 professionals. Whitlock operates a family business, with his wife, Gayle, serving as Practice Manager for the organization.

“The biggest value that we bring our clients is providing them advice and guidance and solutions based upon where they might be in life,” he said. “Our advisors are there to be stewards that help guide people through these transitions on an ongoing basis.”

One myth in Whitlock’s industry is that clients need to have an enormous number of financial resources to retain services from a wealth management advisor. False, he said.

“It’s one of those misconceptions,” Whitlock said. “We like to refer to ourselves as a hometown financial advisory practice with a national reach.”

Heart of the Matter Webinars

Whitlock said his team is approachable and accessible, even offering weekly free informative webinars on timely, relevant topics for investors. The Heart of the Matter webinars are held Fridays at 10:00 a.m. and are open to the public. In order to attract clients from every walk of life, Whitlock Wealth Management’s team is diverse.

“People like working with people like them, whether that is younger advisors working with younger clients, and older clients working with older clients… so we have intentionally grown Whitlock Wealth Management so that we can provide those services,” Whitlock said.

Active in the Community

In addition to his private wealth advisory practice, Whitlock is active in his community, serving on the boards of Leadership Prince William (past chair), Manassas Ballet Theatre, and for many years on the Prince William Public Library System Foundation.  He is also a long-time member and Past President of Lake Ridge Rotary.

Whitlock said his company is licensed in 45 states and works with clients virtually across the nation.
