Two Brentsville District High School seniors are winners in the high school division of a Youth Art Month flag contest sponsored by the Virginia Art Education Association. Colette Vaughn took first place, and Emma Downes was third. The students are taught by Cheryl Miehl.
Art education associations across the nation hold contests in observance of Youth Art Month. Grand prize winners in each state will see their art displayed on a 3 x 5-foot flag at the National Art Education Association Convention and at state conferences.
