WHAT: Boys & Girls Clubs of America and CA Technologies will join together to host Tech Girls Rock at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington. The initiative aims to encourage girls to discover an interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)-focused educational opportunities and careers. PWL Participants will highlight projects from the DIY STEM program that engaged Club youth in the “science of every day” including activities focused on energy & electricity, engineering design, introductory aeronautics and robotics.

WHEN: Friday, January 29, 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: The Martin K. Alloy Boys & Girls Club of Manassas, 9501 Dean Park Lane, Manassas, VA

WHO: Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington Club teen and tween girls

WHY: Tech Girls Rock evolved from a long-standing partnership between CA Technologies and Boys & Girls Clubs of America and incorporates two core CA Technologies focus areas: the advancement of STEM learning and women in IT. To date, more than 1,500 girls have participated in Tech Girls Rock throughout the United States.
