“Canvasing the 1940’s”

otto-by Christine RaymondJune 6th – July 19th Creative Brush Studio, 9082 Center Street, Old Town Manassas, will be hosting an art exhibit highlighting the 1940’s.  Both civilian and military life will be portrayed by various local artists including Mary Reilly, Christine Raymond, Lu Wyer Harris. 

The opening reception will be Friday evening, June 6th 5:00-9:00, which is the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Local author, Dan Verner, will be present signing his second novel which was set in the 40’s. His first novel, On Wings of the Morning, which takes place during wartime, will also be available for signing. Plans are underway to have a World War II veteran in attendance for those who would like to chat and ask questions about that period in our nation’s history.
