Carmello’s of Historic Manassas is celebrating National Strawberry Month in May by donating 15% of all strawberry bruschetta sales this month. This will support the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) in recognition of National Mental Health Awareness Month. Click here for more information about Carmello’s.
“Our customers love our strawberry bruschetta, one of our popular spring appetizers. It’s a flavorful twist on the traditional bruschetta,” said Alice Pires, owner of Carmello’s and Monza of Historic Manassas.
“Supporting NAMI is a personal cause for me. As the parent of a child with mental illness, you are always looking for ways to raise awareness and improve quality of life, for both the mentally ill, and their caregivers,” said Pires.
Mental illness can affect persons of any age and occur in any family. NAMI-Prince William County helps support, educate, and advocate for people with mental illness and their families at the county, state and national levels for non-discriminatory access to quality healthcare, housing, education and employment for people with mental illness.
