Manassas Restaurant Donates Turkey to SERVE for Each NY Strip/Wine Ordered in November
Carmello’s of Historic Manassas, Va. recently presented their fall menu highlighting its signature dishes, including Lamb Meatballs with Housemade Fettucine and the 12-ounce All Natural Local Grilled New York Strip, sourced from local Virginia farms. And although turkey is not on the menu, they’re donating a 10-lb turkey to SERVE, a Manassas-area homeless shelter for each order of New York Strip with a bottle of wine in November. “The holidays are upon us soon, and several will go without the standard Thanksgiving dinner, that many of us take for granted, so we invite you to enjoy your NY Strip and bottle of wine, but know that someone else will be eating a little better this Thanksgiving because you did,” said Alice Pires, owner of Carmellos and Monza in Old Town Manassas, Va.
Carmello’s Lamb Meatballs with Housemade Fettucine is served with feta, sundried tomatoes, mint, pistachio and pesto alfredo, an infusion of Moroccan-style meatballs and Greek and Italian flavorings, while the 12-ounce New York Strip comes with sautéed root vegetable hash, bacon Brussels sprouts, and Maitake cream sauce.
The new fall menu also debuts four new salads, Apple and Brie Salad, Wedge Cobb Salad, Chopped House Salad and the Autumn Mesclun Salad; and two new soups, Creamy Chicken Cauliflower and Roasted Butternut Squash. While, Carmello’s appetizer favorites include the Poached Octopus Carpacio and Mussels A Portuguese. A full menu is available at www.carmellos.com.
