The Hylton Performing Arts Center announced today its schedule of Hylton Presents holiday performances through December 2016. The calendar features musical acts from a variety of genres as well as dance presentations to commemorate the festive season.
The celebrations begin on November 27 with a special performance by three renowned musicians from Windham Hill, featuring beloved carols and winter songs from diverse traditions. On December 2, the Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra and New York Voices will combine their swinging beats and big band sounds with dynamic vocals for an unforgettable evening that is perfect for the entire family. Then on December 9, American Festival Pops Orchestra will present their family-friendly program Holiday Pops: Songs of the Season, which will feature treasured classics such as Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride” and “A Christmas Festival.” The festivities continue on December 11 with Restless Heart, who will put a country spin on Christmas classics such as “Tennessee Christmas,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” and “O Holy Night.”
