On May 19, the Prince William Chamber of Commerce Government Contracting Council will host a breakfast featuring Jackie Robinson-Burnette, a Senior Executive with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Presenting on updated policies making the SBA’s services more accessible and business-friendly, Robinson-Burnette will answer questions about available resources, and provide information that can assist in propelling small businesses toward more and better contracting opportunities. The breakfast will be held at the Comfort Suites near Potomac Mills (14525 Gideon Drive; Woodbridge, VA 22192) from 9:00 to 10:30 a. m.

Lockheed Martin’s Supplier Diversity Program Manager Robyn Snyder states, “Our speaker, in her role as the Deputy Associate Administrator in the Office of Government Contracting and Business Development is responsible for 90 Billion–that’s with a B!—in annual federal contracting dollars spent with small businesses.  I urge any would be, or current small business that is in the Federal Contracting arena to attend this special breakfast.  All of the Chamber’s GovCon breakfast seminars offer networking opportunities to meet large, and other small businesses. Occasionally Federal Customers are included in the mix.  Too often, as a Supplier Diversity Program Manager for Lockheed Martin I see small businesses brush off attending these events, which is a big mistake. Relationships lead to trust, and trust leads to open doors.  Don’t let the door close on you!”

Lockheed Martin is the Chamber’s Government Contracting Council Sponsor. InsideNOVA and Paychex are the event sponsors.

Representatives from all area small businesses are encouraged to attend. Registration and additional information is available online at PWchamber.org or by calling 703-368-6600. Tickets are $45; $30 for members of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce.
